The human body contains more than 200 types of cells—ranging from nerve cells that transmit information, to blood cells that carry oxygen, and even skin cells that provide protective barriers. But there’s one special type of cell that serves as the foundation for all these others: stem cells. Stem cells are like "Sun Wukong"—capable of transforming into countless versions of themselves, as well as morphing into entirely different cell types. For instance, if stem cells could turn into skin cells, burn victims would finally have a reliable source of new skin. And if they could become neurons, patients suffering from nerve defects or paralysis might just stand up again. That’s precisely what makes stem cells so extraordinary!

Nowadays, many people are already eagerly applying stem cells in clinical settings—but there’s still a crucial phase ahead. We need to fully address the safety and effectiveness of stem-cell therapies. Yet, we’re confident that scientists will overcome these challenges. After decades of uncertainty about their potential, today we’re finally seeing promising signs. And as researchers continue their relentless efforts, the future holds immense promise: stem cells could one day make even greater contributions to humanity.
