In the early hours of June 11, Beijing time, several leading international media outlets jointly reported that "King of Motorsports" Schumacher is about to undergo a groundbreaking new surgery— a stem-cell transplant aimed at rebuilding his nervous system. However, even medical experts representing the highest global standards find it incredibly challenging to predict his recovery prospects.

According to a report from Spanish media outlet Marca, 51-year-old Schumacher will undergo treatment to regenerate his central nervous system. Meanwhile, the family of the seven-time F1 champion remains tight-lipped about "the King of Motorsport's" current health condition. In fact, as early as last year, media reports indicated that Schumacher was set to receive stem-cell therapy.

Renowned stem-cell and cardiology expert Philippe Menasché recently said in an interview: "Over the past two decades, stem-cell therapy has made remarkable scientific strides—but that doesn’t change the fact that our understanding of the human brain remains at a very limited stage."

In 2013, during a skiing accident, Schumacher suffered a severe crash that resulted in extensive brain damage. Although doctors fought tirelessly to save his life, the once-glorious "King of Motorsport" subsequently fell into a deep coma.

For eight years, Schumacher's family has remained tight-lipped about his medical condition. All anyone knows is that his wife has reportedly spent tens of millions of dollars on his recovery!

Last September, Schumacher was transported to the European Hospital Georges Pompidou in Paris for treatment, where Philippe Menasché, one of the world’s leading surgeons in the stem cell field, served as his attending physician.

The nurse caring for Schumacher revealed to the media: "I can assure you that, following treatment, he is currently fully conscious."

Renowned stem-cell expert Matilde Leonard also expressed strong confidence, stating that thanks to the world’s most advanced treatment—stem-cell therapy—Schumacher will be able to wiggle his fingers, as well as laugh and cry!

Last year, media reports surfaced that Schumacher underwent stem cell transplantation treatment, with renowned stem cell and cardiology expert Philippe Menasché administering stem cell therapy to Schumacher’s heart. Commenting on the procedure performed on Schumacher, Professor Philippe Menasché said: "Our goal is to reconstruct Michael's central nervous system."
