The Ministry of Science and Technology, along with four other departments, has issued a document: "Continuously Supporting Breakthroughs in Key Core Technologies, Including Stem Cells."
2020-03-09

In major special projects and key R&D programs, we will prioritize support for groundbreaking, cutting-edge areas in fundamental research, while continuing to back critical fields such as quantum science, brain science, nanoscience, stem cells, synthetic biology, developmental programming, global change and its mitigation strategies, protein machines, and前沿 research on major scientific facilities.
The "Plan" proposes that, In major special projects and key R&D programs, we will prioritize support for original, cutting-edge areas in fundamental research, with continued backing for critical fields such as quantum science, brain science, nanoscience, stem cells, synthetic biology, developmental programming, global change and its mitigation strategies, protein machines, and前沿 research on major scientific facilities. To address critical mathematical challenges within key national strategic priorities—such as vital sectors and major engineering projects—we will strengthen applied mathematics and interdisciplinary research. Additionally, we will enhance our efforts in areas like gravitational waves, extreme manufacturing, catalysis science, quantum matter control, Earth system sciences, and animal models for human diseases, ensuring we seize the forefront of cutting-edge scientific exploration.
