The year 2019 was an extraordinary one in our company's journey. On February 25, Jiuzhitang Maker officially received the "Zhongguancun High-Tech Enterprise" certificate.

On May 30, Jiuzhitang Maker officially joined the Chinese Society for Cell Biology as a corporate member.

On September 7, the Jiuzhitang-ALTACO International Medical Center officially opened with great fanfare at the Khorgos International Border Cooperation Center.

On September 26, Gao Yansong, CEO of Jiuzhitang Maker, was selected for the Capital's Leading Science and Technology Talent Cultivation Program.

In September, Stemedica Corporation of the U.S. published a paper titled "Phase I/II Study Evaluating the Safety and Preliminary Efficacy of Intravenous Administration of Allogeneic Mesenchymal Stem Cells in Patients With Chronic Stroke" in *Stroke*, marking another significant step forward in clinical research on stem cell therapy for stroke. Stemedica has successfully completed a Phase I/IIa clinical trial in the U.S., using human bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells to treat ischemic stroke. The trial met its primary endpoint, demonstrating that the treatment is safe.

On October 22, Jiuzhitang Maker officially received the "National High-Tech Enterprise" certificate.

On October 24, Jiuzhitang Maker’s application for R&D funding as a "2019 Zhongguancun Demonstration Zone Science and Technology Small and Micro Enterprise" was successfully approved.

On November 21, Jiuzhitang Maker’s clinical trial application for its stem-cell-based new drug was accepted by the National Medical Products Administration’s Center for Drug Evaluation. Notably, this marks the first time the Center has approved a clinical trial application involving imported stem-cell products. With this milestone, Jiuzhitang Maker—equipped with cutting-edge stem-cell manufacturing technology developed in the U.S.—has taken its first significant step toward entering the stem-cell pharmaceutical market.

On December 24, Jiuzhitang Maker (Beijing) Cell Technology Co., Ltd. secured funding from Beijing's major science and technology project. The company’s proposed project, "Preclinical Study of Human Bone Marrow Mesenchymal Stem Cells for the Treatment of Acute Stroke," has been officially approved. This research project will primarily follow pharmaceutical study standards to conduct preclinical registration studies on human bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells. The successful implementation of this project will lay a solid foundation for future clinical trials of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cell therapy in acute stroke cases, while also enriching Jiuzhitang Maker’s R&D pipeline.
