Case I
Severe traumatic brain injuries caused by traffic accident
A 7-year-old boy was hit by car. The accident caused widespread injury to his brain, leaving him in a vegetative state. He became quadriplegia with no bowel or bladder control. Rehabilitation treatments didn’t work on him.
Treatment: With FDA-approved emergency IND, he was injected with bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells provided by Stemedica.
Efficacy: He was able to get up one week later, walk up and downstairs with help of families three weeks later, and have sports capacity almost back to normal fifteen weeks later. With speech capacity recovered, now he is back to school and able to live as a normal child.
